Is Global Warming real? And if so, is it man made or is it a result of natural environmental cycles?
There are “experts” on both sides of the debate, in fact there are “experts” on both sides of most debates – which side you believe largely depends on former circumstances in your life and not at all on the facts of the matter.
The question we should really be asking is not who is right or who is wrong, but instead we need to be asking what kind of world do we want to live in and how do we create it.
I think most people would agree that we all want to live in a fair and just world, based on a clean and sustainable economy.
Where “sustainable” means that things like the burning of fossil fuels and our current life->trash based economic patterns have to go. Do we change our ways because the world is about to come crashing down on us, or do we change them simply because it’s the right thing to do? Either way we have to change. So how to we get there from here?
Things like wind and solar power, electric cars, and recycling all need to be done whether or not global warming is real, so lets stop debating and start working on the problem.
As President Obama said, “The country that leads the green energy economy is the country that leads the world.”
