We just keep getting more awesome!

So, Dreamer has NOT been growing at a rate which I would consider good enough. We have some decent growth, but I believe there is a lot of room for improvement. Only once we have hundreds of thousands or even millions of users can we really start to make a difference in the world.

As with everything in life I had to ask myself “what can I do better?” in order to convince these new users to use our site. I decided that what was needed was a new look and a few upgrades to the technology. First impressions matter a great deal, and hopefully the new website leaves a much better impression on people. I’ve worked very hard on the site over the past few weeks, hopefully you like the results:

A New Name

Instead of being called Dreamer.Me, the site will now be called Dreamer. So please refer to the site as Dreamer from now on.

A New Home Page

I created a new home page that hopefully better explains what we’re all about. It includes a diagram showing how searches are converted to donations though our technology as well as easy ways people can get started.

A New Look

I created a new logo:

And a cool little icon to go with it

The site hopefully looks a lot more modern, in line with sites like twitter.

Better Search Technology

Additionally, I switched over to for our web and video search results. I will most likely be using them for the image results soon as well. Bing has very high quality search results even better than Yahoo, and comparable with Google. Additionally the tools they provide to retrieve their results are also very good.
